International Rugby League Games NOTE ? 1900-1950

The First International Rugby League took place on 1 January 1908 and the result was Wales ? 9, New Zealand all the gold medals ? eight in Aberdare.

Captain Gus Risman, they are regarded as the greatest team of all time, and tours are to remain the only team in England in a Test series in Australia unbeaten. ToAt that time the only way to travel on board the Royal Navy ships and the team's journey aboard the HMS Indomitable, from which came the nickname. The first test was drawn 8-8 in Sydney, while Great Britain won the second Test 14-5 in Brisbane. The ash was obtained with a 20-7 victory at the Sydney Cricket Ground, with a test for Bassett, Curren and Owens goals from Risman (3) and Ward.
