The City of Lodi threw a terrific ?End of Summer? musical event with Garratt Wilkins & the Parrotheads performing.? This cover band is known nationally as the #1 Jimmy Buffett tribute band and they definitely had the audience on their feet!?? About 250 people attended the event at Hutchins Street Square.
Concert goers feasted on cheeseburgers cooked by the Boosters of Boys and Girls Sports Organization (BOBS) and margaritas, wine, and beer from the Lodi Arts Foundation. Wine was generously donated by the Michael~David Winery.
According to Jeff Hood, interim Parks & Recreation Director and Cultural Services Director, ?this is the first time these two groups have worked together so this is a great way to join forces for the benefit of our community and our youth.?
Sales from these two non-profit organizations will provide opportunities for underserved youth to participate in local sports and for Tuition Assistance for art, music, dance, and theatre classes at Hutchins Street Square. The next big fundraiser is the ?Bump City? Tower of Power Tribute Band performing on October 19 at Hutchins Street Square.? Tickets are available @ www.loditickets.com or call the Box Office at 209-333-5550.
